Giving Back

At the heart of KT is a passion and care for giving back. As a result, we’re focusing on philanthropic initiatives to improve our industry, the communities we work and live in, and the world.

Our business is about people and communities. We help individuals and families set their roots (pun intended), make memories, explore their neighbourhoods, and support local businesses.

We also recognize that our industry contributes to deforestation. The removal of trees is required to manufacture building materials and create more space to accommodate agriculture and residential housing.

It’s easy to get caught up in the chaos of our daily responsibilities. However, we’ve stepped back for a better perspective, to see the forest for the trees, an appropriate metaphor for this exciting announcement.

Partnership with Tree Canada

The KT Team is excited to announce our official partnership with Tree Canada. Tree Canada is Canada’s leading not-for-profit tree-planting organization. As a result of this partnership, we will be participating in Tree Canada’s National Greening Program. This program will enable The KT Team to plant a tree for every house sold and purchased in areas across the country that are in need. Also, through the Partners in Planting program, we’re excited to host an annual tree planting event in a local community.

For our first event, we have selected Milton, Ontario, as the community to support. The town of Milton is where our company established itself a decade ago. And, many of our team members have chosen to make Milton their home.

In the Fall of 2022, our team and dozens of volunteers will plant approximately 200 trees. In the coming months, with the assistance of Tree Canada, The Town of Milton and Conservation Halton, a site in need will be selected.

We’re thrilled to have found such a wonderful organization to partner with.  Tree Canada’s purpose and vision align well with our industry and care for the community and environment.

Thank you to all of our wonderful clients for supporting our business. We’re genuinely thrilled to be in a position to be able to give back.
