Tell us your origin story
I was born in the GTA and have lived in many different areas throughout my life, but I’ve called Milton and Oakville home for the past 20+ years. As funny as it might sound, growing up I really loved the idea of being a real estate agent. My family was moving often and always buying and selling real estate and it stuck with me as something I aspired to do one day. I remember back in the 80’s always asking our agent to pass along any of the MLS listing books that they had so I could study them (boy, how the internet changed real estate – does anyone remember these?!) Sales and entrepreneurship run in my bloodline, so marrying it with real estate was a natural fit and I truly wake up every day looking forward to work, meeting new people, and visiting homes! I feel like I live in an HGTV show sometimes, but I thoroughly enjoy it.
What’s your favourite food?
Anything delicious! If I had to choose a favourite meal it would be a toss between a classic pork souvlaki dinner with the works; salad, rice, potatoes, and of course, tzatziki OR a very close second would be my grandmother’s traditional Sunday dinner of schnitzel with fried potatoes, fried red cabbage, and cucumber salad. Clearly, both of these are kind to my waistline.
Where would we find you on a hot summer’s day?
At our cottage. With only a couple of months of hot weather to take advantage of, there’s nothing I enjoy more than sitting on the dock reading a good book or listening to a podcast with a cold beverage and listening to the kids splashing around and having a blast in the lake.
4. Where would we find you on a cold winter’s day?
Inside, with my slippers. I’m not a fan of cold weather.
5. Early bird or night owl?
Over the past few years, I’ve transitioned from the night owl to the early bird. I’ll typically wake up around 4:45 am, have my coffee, do a light workout or yoga session, catch up on the daily news and any emails/DM’s, have a quick shower and be at the KT office or set up in my home office for 6:00 am. Although, admittedly, I can definitely drag my feet a bit in the wintertime with the sunrise being so much later and the lack of vitamin D.
6. What’s your favourite movie?
Different moods call for different genres. Home Alone is likely the movie I’ve seen the most amount of times and it never gets old. Something about the warm feeling of Christmas time. It’s a must-see come December in our house – A true classic!
7. What does your forever home look like?
Not sure I have one. Tastes, needs, and desires are always changing, and being a Realtor, we always see homes that are tempting. If I had to paint it though, it would be within walking distance to shops, restaurants, parks, and recreational activities. The home itself would be situated on a tree-lined, quiet street and a spacious yard would be a big bonus.
