Welcome back to #KTQuickTips with The Kormendy Trott Team – Your favorite Milton Real Estate Agents!
In Episode #22, we discussed a question that came in asking about staging. The question was:
“I was wondering if you could tell me a little bit more about staging and whether or not I need to do it? Thanks.”
This is a great question and we hear about it all the time.
What is Staging?
Staging is much more than cleaning and decorating, it’s all about creating a mood. Yes, staging will make your home feel bigger, brighter, warmer, and much more functional. But best of all, it’ll help you connect with buyers and make them fall in love with your home. Staging may or may not include buying and/or renting new furniture to fill up empty spaces and to freshen up the decor, we often recommend working with and starting with what you already have. You can rearrange existing furniture or mirrors, artwork, drapes, plants, etc. That sort of stuff can have a huge impact on the overall feel of the house. So, if your Realtor doesn’t already include this service, you may want to go out and hire a stager to help you with this. It is proven that staged homes sell for more money and in less time.
It can be very easy to transform a room from dark, dingy, and boring, to what looks like a builder’s model home. You may feel as though you don’t have a keen eye for this sort of thing, but there are tons of inspiration online. Look to websites like Houzz.com, Instagram and Pinterest for some great ideas.
