September’s Home Maintenance Checklist

It’s September, the kids are going back to school and we’ve got this month’s checklist waiting for you!

As the weather gets colder, you will find yourself switching your thermostat from cool to heat. Now would be a great time to call a local HVAC company to have a maintenance and servicing done on your heating and cooling system. You’ll want to get on it now before the company gets too busy.

The colder weather can also wreak havoc on the mechanisms of your garage door. Make sure that you lubricate the track, bearings, and also the hinges, to ensure it’s opening and closing smoothly all winter long.

Now is also a great time to have your exterior doors painted. In the summer, the weather is too hot. In the winter, the weather is too cold, and you can’t necessarily leave the door open. So, now is a great time to get that done too!
