What Do You Mean It Sold? | KT Confidential E104

On today’s podcast, episode #104, we discuss the responsibility of the real estate agent to inform all interested parties when any new offers are made on a property they are selling.

When you have buyers that are interested in your property, a single offer from any one of them is all it takes sometimes to help push the other parties to get involved and make an offer of their own. This strategy can work well when trying to generate a bidding war and drive up the price of a home by guaranteeing that any party that wanted to make an offer knows that now is the time, the clock is ticking. When a realtor forgoes that step in the process and chooses not to inform the other interested buyers, we see that not only as a major loss of profit and a waisted opportunity, but also as a disservice to the home owners that the agent is representing. Unfortunately we see this all the time in our industry but with two recent experiences fresh on our plate we decided it was time to make sure the public was aware of the importance of this final step before they accept an offer.

The importance of making other parties aware of a new offer, the difference between being a professional and being a “professional,” and the responsibilities that every real estate agent has that public should be aware of to guarantee they are getting the most out of their primary investment. All of that and more on today’s episode of KT Confidential – Real Estate Podcast.

The founders, Ariel Kormendy and Adrian Trott, started The Kormendy Trott Team, a real estate team based out of Halton region in Ontario, after both being in need of a change from their successful careers in the automotive industry and both experiencing the lack of service being provided in the real estate industry. They kicked off their careers in 2011 and quickly became a top-performing team in the country, ranking 17th of approximately 200 for Century 21 in 2017; as a team of just the two of them compared to much larger teams. They decided that they needed to take their team from being real estate agents in Milton to the rest of the GTA and beyond by expanding and servicing more areas. The team has since grown to have an administrative arm, media department and successful sales team operating a smooth running and successful business.
