How to Evolve as a Realtor | KT Confidential EP 154

On this podcast, episode 154, Adrian discusses the key tactics you can use to grow your business and become a better Real Estate agent. This comes from recent experiences as well as 10 years of being the CEO of an award-winning Real estate team.

Tip #1 Get to know your client – Start by having a simple conversation to understand your client’s needs and wants. Getting to know details about how a client is paying for their home, what qualifications they have, where their funds are coming from; all of this information can help you set your client up for success. Also, knowing your client allows you to sell them to a listing agent.

Tip #2 Stop Calling in Advance – Show your home to your client before you call and negotiate an offer. This also applies to Leases, show them the house. Find out if it is something they’d consider. Once you do all that, put a compelling offer together, organize your supporting documents, and sell them to the listing agent.

Tip #3 Stop dropping tasks to accommodate for clients – You have stuff to do. Time is a precious resource. You can not be dropping what you are doing to accommodate for people you do not know. They may already have another real estate agent that can help them buy the home so they may not need your assistance. Another reason is for safety. You should always meet up prior to selling a home with your client to screen them and make sure they are safe individuals before you enter a home alone with another stranger.

The founders, Ariel Kormendy and Adrian Trott, started The Kormendy Trott Team, a real estate team based out of Halton region in Ontario, after both being in need of a change from their successful careers in the automotive industry and both experiencing the lack of service being provided in the real estate industry.   • Footwear: Please remove footwear upon entry to help preserve the property’s cleanliness.
  • Washroom Facilities: Visitors are kindly asked to refrain from using washroom facilities.
  • Personal Belongings and Furniture: For privacy and safety, please avoid touching personal belongings or opening furniture not part of the sale. Examples include dressers, media consoles, and most free-standing furniture.
  • Food and Beverages: Outside food and beverages are prohibited while touring the property.
  • Furniture: To respect our client’s space, please avoid sitting or lying on any furniture.
  • Pets: Pets are not allowed within the property.
  • Children: Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring children follow these guidelines.

2. Visitor Tracking and Safety: To ensure the safety of our clients’ property and personal belongings and the security of our real estate agents, all visitors are required to provide accurate and complete contact information. This information is used to track attendees and ensure accountability.

Digital Communications and Follow-Up: By providing your contact information, you consent to receive digital communications from our real estate team, including information about this property, future open houses, and other relevant real estate opportunities. These communications may include marketing or promotional messages, and we aim to keep them relevant to your interests.
