CMHC’s Failed Forecast | KT Confidential E87

On today’s podcast, episode #87, we cover the recent statistics released for June’s market which heavily contrast CMHC’s original predictions for the summer months.

It has ben a crazy past couple of months for not only the real estate market but for the entire economy as a whole. Things are finally getting back into the swing of things and we are seeing an increase in demand across the board. The statistics for June show a lack of inventory creating a sellers market which will bring with it multiple offers and more frequent bidding wars. Paying over market value may scare some people at first, but with an average increase in home prices of about 10% per year, paying a little more now could pay out greatly in the future.

As we work in both Oakville and Milton markets, we do a deep dive into what has changed over the past year and what that means for the future of Halton’s real estate. Comparing the market in June 2019 to the June 2020 market, what the current statistics mean for the short and longterm future of local real estate, and the ever increasing demand for properties with pools. All of that and more on today’s episode of KT Confidential – Real Estate Podcast.

The founders, Ariel Kormendy and Adrian Trott, started The Kormendy Trott Team, a real estate team based out of Halton region in Ontario, after both being in need of a change from their successful careers in the automotive industry and both experiencing the lack of service being provided in the real estate industry. They kicked off their careers in 2011 and quickly became a top-performing team in the country, ranking 17th of approximately 200 for Century 21 in 2017; as a team of just the two of them compared to much larger teams. They decided that they needed to take their team from being real estate agents in Milton to the rest of the GTA and beyond by expanding and servicing more areas. The team has since grown to have an administrative arm, media department and successful sales team operating a smooth running and successful business.
