On today’s podcast, episode #98, Adrian and Ariel cover some tips and tricks for purchasing a home with a pool during this time of year.

With the pool season coming to an end, many people currently purchasing homes with pools will not get the opportunity to experience them until next season. This brings up the question of how does someone know if a pool is in working condition when they close. Some options available are pool inspections and a pool hold back clause in the contract to provide some reassurance for the buyers that the pool will be up and running in the spring.

Despite the summer months being behind us, pools are still one of the hottest items right now in the real estate market. With the high demand and their ability to increase resale value, installation companies are backed up until 2022 posing the question of what is the better option, having a pool installed or just move to a home with a pool?

With people still not traveling due to COVID, we have seen an explosion in not only the local pool markets but also in the cottage market as home owner search for a way to get away without traveling. With the supply of all waterfront properties within a 3 hour drive remaining low with an extreme high demand, cottage prices are soaring.
