After being put on hold in 2018, many people doubted that the MEV (Milton Education Village) project was going to happen. However, we’ve now learned that the province is backing the development, and it’s better than originally planned!
The 400-acre parcel of land is anticipated to bring more than 12,800 people and 2,500 knowledge-based jobs to Town.
The original and only to apply for the MEV was Wilfrid Laurier University. However, it will now consist of Wilfrid Laurier University and be home to a Conestoga College campus and Schlegel Villages‘ long-term care facility. The 400-acre parcel of land is anticipated to bring more than 12,800 people and 2,500 knowledge-based jobs to Town.
This is a BIG win for Milton. Finally, after 13 years of planning and anticipation, it’s moving forward. During the live press release on-site, Premier Doug Ford, MPP Parm Gill, Mayor Gordon Krantz, and others provided the good news.
We’ve already received phone calls from clients and prospective clients about how the news will impact the dynamics of Milton, from demographics to traffic, and how it affects real estate values in Milton.
As more updates become available, we’ll post details and thoughts on Youtube, Instagram and our podcast, KT Confidential. So be sure to Like, Follow and Subscribe for updates and drop a comment on the blog with questions or opinions on this project or any questions you’d like us to answer.
