Tell us your origin story
I was born in Toronto and grew up in Mississauga before moving to Guelph to attend U of G, where I majored in Microbiology. I spent 17 years working in research and development in the food industry, working closely with clients to assess their needs and create a strategy to develop products that met their goals — skills that carried over into my next chapter as a Realtor! I decided to shift my career focus when I realized my true passion lies in home design, creating functional spaces, and helping people find homes that truly work for them.
In 2011 I purchased my first home in Milton — a Mattamy village townhouse, which would eventually become the first of several homes I would sell with the KT Team. In 2018 my husband and I were looking to upsize from our bungalow as we needed more space for our growing family. That was when we decided to move to Fergus, where housing was more affordable at the time. We instantly fell in love with the small-town vibe and wonderful sense of community that Fergus and Elora have to offer (including arguably the world’s best butter tarts). We couldn’t imagine raising our family anywhere else.
My husband is a first responder and general contractor. We love taking on projects together to transform spaces in our own homes and for others. We have two amazing kids, Kira and Cole, who I spend a lot of time shuttling between dance, hockey, and other activities. I’m also mom to an easy-going cat, and a not-so-easy-going French bulldog.
What’s your favourite food?
My favourite type of food is Greek — fresh, flavourful and healthy! I’d love to visit Greece again in the future to really appreciate the cuisine (my first visit in my 20’s was focused more on beverages, if you know what I mean). If I had to choose one specific item of food, it would be cheesecake.
Where would we find you on a hot summer’s day?
Lounging by the pool in the sun, with several very loud children splashing around.
Where would we find you on a cold winter day?
Inside wearing flannels and laying on a heating pad (I hate being cold). Or at the arena watching my son’s hockey games, aggressively ringing my cowbell.
Early bird or night owl?
Early bird 100%. I often wake up at 5 am ready for the day, but have a hard time keeping my eyes open past 10:30 pm.
What’s your favourite movie?
I can’t think of one specific movie, but I did watch Jurassic Park way too many times as a child. More recently I’ve been loving musical films — The Greatest Showman and Lyle, Lyle Crocodile.
What does your forever home look like?
A craftsman style house with earthy green exterior, on a couple acres just outside of town. Not too big, but with a large kitchen island for gathering around with family and friends. Four bedrooms, a cozy living room with natural fireplace, and an in-ground pool.
