On this podcast, episode 146, Adrian and Ariel talk about how Open houses are reopening under the province of Ontario. They discuss different parts of the OREA Guidance on Re-Opening in Step Three.
After being halted last summer owing to COVID-19 concerns, open houses have been absent from the real estate sector for more than a year. However, under the new Step 3 indoor gathering limits, which take effect at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, July 16, you can have up to 25 people inside.
With the new Step 3 criteria in place, aspiring homebuyers will be able to resume in-person home viewings after relying heavily on virtual ones for a long period. However, because the area is still recovering from this wave of the pandemic, purchasers may be hesitant to congregate in person.
Some buyers will be hesitant to visit open houses at first since these events tend to draw a lot of “window shoppers” and curious neighbours. Serious buyers like to see properties on their own time so they can get a real sense of the place without feeling rushed or crowded.
