On today’s podcast, Episode 110, we discuss what it really take to be a “successful” real estate agent.
“I’m thinking of getting my real estate licence” is something we hear all the time as realtors ourselves. There is something about the industry that draws people in. It drew us in. Realtors carry with them an image. They drive nice cars, they help people buy and sell their biggest assets, and most importantly they are their own boss. It can appear glamours but there are two sides to any coin. The other side of this one is plain old hard work and dedication.
It is our believe that anyone can become a realtor. We would even recommend it. But that is not to say the route to success is clearly defined or easily achieved without a lot of perseverance, guidance, and commitment. For that reason we decided today’s episode would be all about the ins and outs of becoming a realtor, what to realistically expect within your first couple of years of being certified, and the attributes that will aid you the most when going down the path of real estate.
What do realtors actually make? Should go it alone or you join a team? & What would we do different knowing what we know now? All of that and more on today’s episode of KT Confidential – Real Estate Podcast.

The founders, Ariel Kormendy and Adrian Trott, started The Kormendy Trott Team, a real estate team based out of Halton region in Ontario, after both being in need of a change from their successful careers in the automotive industry and both experiencing the lack of service being provided in the real estate industry. They kicked off their careers in 2011 and quickly became a top-performing team in the country, ranking 17th of approximately 200 for Century 21 in 2017; as a team of just the two of them compared to much larger teams. They decided that they needed to take their team from being real estate agents in Milton to the rest of the GTA and beyond by expanding and servicing more areas. The team has since grown to have an administrative arm, media department and successful sales team operating a smooth running and successful business.
