2022 Real Estate Market Predictions | KT Confidential EP 161

On this podcast, episode 161, Adrian and Ariel discuss their predictions for the 2022 Real Estate Market. As the year comes to an end, the KT owners reflect on the past year’s trends while looking towards the future and beyond.

Adrian’s 2022 Predictions: he believes that the 2022 Real Estate Market will be a very similar year to 2021. Rates are going to go up but that generally doesn’t impact a whole lot. He believes 2023 is the year that the market is going to be effected where it’s going to be a turbulent market from a mortgage rate increase to pullback in prices.

Ariels 2022 Prediction: he believes that in the 2022 Real Estate Market that there will be less volume in transactions with increase in price. Although, the decrease in volume will be from people who are waiting to purchase from a downturn in the market.

Another trend that will be going on is the increasing demand in the less popular cities outside of the GTA. Areas such as London, Woodstock, Niagara, Barrie, Huntsville etc. are places that will see the surge in growth. Personal health, the opportunity to work remotely, and rising housing costs are among the most important factors influencing many Canadians’ decision to remain (or not to continue) residing in large cities.

All of that and more on KT Confidential – Real Estate Podcast.

The founders, Ariel Kormendy and Adrian Trott, started The Kormendy Trott Team, a real estate team based out of Halton region in Ontario, after both being in need of a change from their successful careers in the automotive industry and both experiencing the lack of service being provided in the real estate industry. They kicked off their careers in 2011 and quickly became a top-performing team in the country, ranking 17th of approximately 200 for Century 21 in 2017; as a team of just the two of them compared to much larger teams. They decided that they needed to take their team from being real estate agents in Milton to the rest of the GTA and beyond by expanding and servicing more areas. The team has since grown to have an administrative arm, media department and successful sales team operating a smooth running and successful business.
