“Home” is the reason I’m here, and knowing that I can be a part of someone’s journey to finding their dream home makes this the most rewarding career.
I loved growing up in Mississauga, and I knew it like the back of my hand. Never in a million years would I have thought I’d end up in Milton. After high school, I attended Humber College, where I earned my diploma in Social Work. I was barely out of college when I was offered a temporary position as a corporate events coordinator. This temporary position lasted 11 years. Needless to say, I never got into social work. At 21 years old, I went to Mexico and met a boy from Scarborough; yes, I had to go to Mexico to find him. We fell in love, started a family, and moved to Milton because the prices of homes in Mississauga were unaffordable – one of the reasons I find myself helping people move to Milton to this day.
We loved everything about Milton, the Escarpment, the trails, and the small-town feel, and we knew Milton was meant to be. After our boys were born, I started working at the school board, as this allowed me more time off to watch them grow. Once the boys got older and no longer needed me as much, it was time to pursue a career that I was passionate about.
